"I have a passion for life, music, performance and art, and I try to combine these passions when creating my artwork. I have exhibited work in galleries and sold and displayed work in bars, offices and restaurants. Much of my recent work has been commissioned by home and business owners. My work varies in scale depending on my influences.
Working in acrylic, resin, wax and pastel, each painting becomes a visual translation of an emotion, most often stirred by a song or piece of music which I listen to as stimulus. This enables me to view the process of painting as a performance in itself, the canvas in effect being like a stage or platform for me to react to what I hear and feel.
Though my painting is then my own visual reflection of thought and sound, I aim to provoke the viewer to see something unique to them, influenced by their own memories and emotions. This is what I feel gives a painting far more depth and intensity"
